Hi,
I was told that I could "upgrade" my K750i just by opgrading the
firmware.
Is there any pro or cons ?
TIA

Re: SE K750i firmware opgrade to W800i
These are the only details I know:
PROS: media player is better in W800. W800 also includes a flight mode where
your phone can be switched off with the MP3 player still on.
CONS: upgrading voids the warranty. And not too sure if it's a simple case
of upgrading the firmware.

Re: SE K750i firmware opgrade to W800i (addendum)
I was under the empression that it was free. I jjust thought that I
could DL the firmware update @ SE website and transfer it to the
phone.
I don't wanna spent £20 for such a update
I guess I wan't be needing that update after all :-S
Thankz though

It's not really an update or upgrade. You actually put W800's software in a
K750 phone. Both phones have the same hardware! In other words, it's the
very same phone, but with different software.

I'd call it a "downgrade" :-)
I like the K750 features better.

what can your K750, the W800 can't do?
The improved Media Player is a dream.

I frequently use the programable "mid-key"
> The improved Media Player is a dream.
I don't use the media player.
So, for my needs, the K750 serves me better.

That's a point. It took me some days to "live without" it. Then I
discovered, that I can set up these shortcuts to a menu I can access
using the joystick.

I do. Very often.
