ericsson
site but when I try to connect it says it can not connect to the
server
dial Number is +448450885056
all passwords are right and the pop3 and SMTP are set, the only thing
I can
find thats blank is the DNS option
Anyone set it up to work ?

Are you using dotted IPs or names? Whichever, try the other one.

Make sure that your carrier supports CSD (circuit switched data), and that
your account is provisioned properly for CSD. Data calls are different from
voice calls.

Re: E mail problems on my T39m, help
People read addresses like www.google.com but computers read addresses like
144.55.66.777
When you surf the net, a DNS server looks up the numbers corresponding to
the web-addresses you enter. Without a DNS server, you would have to know
the numbers.
The earlier software versions of the T39 didn't handle DNS requests. If you
get a later software version (R4A) flashed to your phone (you have to get a
dealer to do this) this problem will be fixed.
Check your software version with the following key presses:

I had one of the earliest versions, and it handled DNS requests just fine.
The apparent problem was not getting correct DNS server addresses from the
carrier in certain circumstances.
