I have just got a T610 with very few ringtones on it, I have loads of MP3
files and want to know if you can edit these (somehow) and download them as
    a ringtone?

So if not from MP3's is there any other way of doing it? I can't imagine
these guys with the websites selling ringtones sit down and redo every theme
    or song:-) ?

You can use Hit Ringtone Maker - http://www.e-xpressor.com/ to convert from
    midi and wav files

Then use Ringtone Convertor - www.codingworkshops.com (i think)

You should be able to find 1or 2 midi files on the net somewhere )

There's even a wap server built in so you can upload them to your phone via
    wap

You don't need a converter for midis - you can send them straight to the
    phone as they are!

Just search for some free MIDI files on the net and send them to your
phone. If you are prepared to put a certain amount of effort into it, you
can get shareware (maybe even freeware) MIDI editors where you could edit
files or write your own tunes.

The phone will not take MP3 files for ringtones and I doubt you will find
any satisfactory way to 'convert' from MP3 to MIDI. This is not at all a
trivial thing to do and is not really feasible at present. However, you can
find literally thousands of MIDI files online and making your own is
    possible with a little work.

I just find a MIDI file I like on the Web, dowload to the PC and FTP it to
the phone using my BT link.
