Whats the latest? Does anyone have anything accumulated so far? To my
understanding the manual is insufficient. I am thinking of getting a
couple for my family. Although the area I live in is primarily GSM the
area I may move to is TDMA.

Well, based on what I've seen on a.c.e and a.c.c. and the fact that no
one seems to have answered you question, I think I may be the only
person in the world who actually has a T62U. Please buy one. It's
    lonely out here! :->

As far as a phone my T62u has been ok. It works well in TDMA mode,
and it works well in GSM. The battery does seem to go fairly quickly,
especially if it's in TDMA (or AMPS?) mode. I end up charging the
battery just about every night. GPRS works, kind of. By the way, I'm
a Cingular customer. GPRS was difficult to set up because I chose to
download the software from Sony-Ericsson instead of buying it from
    Cingular.

One problem that I do have is with the built in email client. The
phone reboots during just about every mail download. I have spent
hours on the phone with Cingular (about this and other issues), and
they have been able to reproduce this problem on other T62's.

    Hope this help...

I just got my phones. Waiting for the SIM chips. Most T62U users seem
    to be posting in wirelessadvisor.com
I notice in the manual something about having to do a PIN before making
a phone call. Is this just for the first time use or for every call?

I haven't touched the PIN settings, and I don't have to enter a PIN to
place a call. I think that its a feature you can turn on.
