Tried to send a photo I took with my T610 to my mate as a picture message
(he also has a T610). I went to the pic, chose "More", then "Send", then
"As picture msg". It comes up with "Picture may be too large for the
recipient to view. Send anyway?". I choose "Yes" Then I see the pic, and
I can scroll down and add text, etc. Then I choose "Send" and it comes up
with "number". I choose "Look Up" and select my mate's mobile number.
After choosing it the screen shows:

    To: Craig
    Subject: Picture(7).jpg
    +More

If I click the + I get options such as CC, Priority, Attachements, etc, as
if it's gonna send an e-mail. I click "Send" and the little progress bar
gets maybe 1/3 of the way the freezes for a few secs. I then get a screen
saying "Communication Error". I choose "Ok" and get taken back to My
    Pictures.

He tried sending me one, and I got a text message saying "I've sent you a
picture message. View it at <web address>".

We both have T610's on Orange. My mate has successfully received a photo
message from another mate with a Panasonic GD87.

It's as if my phone won't receive or send photos. Perhaps a setting
    somewhere?

    Thanks!

There are loads of settings for MMS to work properly
Easiest option is to Phone Orange Data on 156 and they will talk you through
    it (did it for me)
It could be that MMS is not even provisioned on your a/c

There are also configurators on the SE site, but 156 is your best bet

Yeh mine does the same. I rang Orange and they just turned around said I
needed a new sim as I transferred it from a older phone. The woman on the
phone was very unhelpful, so I'm going back to Vodafone.
