If I try from the PC I get 'pairing request is rejected by the device'.
If I try from the T68 I get 'pairing failed please try again'.

I have a Bluetooth USB dongle with a CSR chip and WIDCOMM software.
I don't know the make as it's unbranded.

    The following may help -
    FCC IDENTIFIER: PANBT0002M3

Name of Grantee: CC&C Technologies, Inc.

    Thanks.

no problems with an equal setup here. Which version of the Widcomm
Software do you have? The latest is 1327, which is IMHO the FIRST
    troublefree version.

As a first try you might start pairing from the T68 and then
doubleclick on the Bluetooth-Symbol in your taskbar's notification
area. On one of my PC's the pairing requests dont turn up
automatically and therefore time out but doubleclicking brings the
    screen up.

    you might also try this:

take your T68, go to the Bluetooth-Menu, Paired Devices, Add Device,
    Phone Accepts

then start pairing from your PC, enter the 4-digit-passkey of your
    choice and press enter

now your mobile will ask "XXX - Add to paired devices?", press YES and
    enter the above used passkey.

Now you should see Pairing Successfully and your phone will ask for a
name for the new paired device. That's all.

Now you can initiate a serial connection from the Tray Icon. If you
already have set the Mobile Phone Monitor Software to use the virtual
serial port Bluetooth created during installation you're up for your
    first sync.

I have no problems with a laptop using XP Pro and T68i. If you are
using a firewall, it may be interfering, that's one thing to check.

    Thanks folks,
Did what Sascha said and it's sorted.

Any ideas where I can get the latest Widcomm software?
Even though it's working it would be nice to get the latest.
    Thanks again.
