    Hi Everyone

I spoke too soon - XTEND stopped synching with via my new Bluetooth dongle

I tried adding a quick connect serial port once more - this seemed to add a
    duplicate

It's all ended up a hideous mess !!

At the moment I feel like smashing it up - why are things such a pain in the
    arse on computers?????

It still works for image/ tone transfer - just not XTEND

    Any ideas ??

It's more likely SE's Phone Monitor s/w than the BT's, especially if
file transfer works fine. I have an identical problem where I even loose
my serial connection. If I tinker enough, I can get the BT connection to
    work sometimes.

What serial port did you select? If the BT serial connection is say Com
4, try setting the client port to what is says it is under the Client
Applications tab if you haven't already done so - probably Com 5 or the
port number above the BT port. You may need to disable the other ports
    in Phone Monitor.

Thanks for the reply. I'm really not sure about this - I seem to be going
    round in circles??

This is what I have found

    File transfer - FINE

I clicked quick connect - bluetooth serial port
    found my phone
    It gave com port 9

I right clicked on the phone monitor icon in my system tray (can't find the
    program anywhere else??)
    highlighted 'configure'

    com port 1 was enabled
I then also enabled com port 9

    Click bluetooth advanced configuration
    local services
    serial port - COM 10

    Client applications
    serial port - com 9

It may be my imagination, but my USB optical mouse seems to have an erractic
    pointer now ??
