    Hi

I've got a P800 and a 3Com BT card for my laptop. I want to be able to do 2
    things

    1) synchronise my Outlook
    2) make a serial connection to the phone (not DUN which works)

I can't do either. Maybe I'm being dumb but any help appreciated.

    Thanks.

    Philip

Don't think P800 allows bluetooth sync (I assume 3com card is bluetooth)

    Yep, 3com is bluetooth.

I successfully synced my P800 using blue tooth - just make sure the com port
allocated by the bluetooth interface is within the range that can be seen by
    the ericsson sync software.

My sync software doesn't even recognise bluetooth and the manual says (I'm
sure) that it's not possible. What software version are you using - is it
the new one that's available for download?

Yes, it's possible - that's the way I do it (my P800's cradle is still in
    the box).

Just make sure the mRouter software is looking at the INBOUND or SERVER
(names vary) COM port. Then you start the connection from your computer. The
connection will be interrupted - this is normal. The P800 will call back and
    the connection will be established.

Look in our Bluetooth Guides for more on this.
