Are "Car Baby" legal in the UK? They seem to be FC approved, which make
them legal in the US? And how does it work? I mean, where is the sound
receiver? It is just a clip on to the upper part of the phone (speaker).
Am I relying on my phone's microphone to receive the sound? When I am one
metre away? My P800 might just be able to do that in a quite environment,
but when driving on the road? Don;t think My T68i's microphone is that
    sensitive...

P.S. Is Car Baby illegal to use in UK? (If it is illegal to sell?)

They are suppose to be illegal to USE in the uk but not illegal to
sell or own. I don't really think the radio authority will waste
their time trying to catch people using them as they have a maximuim
    range of three metres.

From what I gather unless the device is interfering with emergancy
channels i.e. police, or radio stations then they wont bother.

My arguement is that if a childs electronic's kid has instructions on
how to make a wireless fm transmitter to broadcast on a radio (that
has to be inches from the kit away) as a project, then surely they
should ban the electronic kits or even prosecute them for making it,
but we all know that wouldnt happen.

I use a car baby and have had no trouble with it, it broadcasts on two
different sets on the fm dial one being in the 88 mhz the other up
around 106 mhz. providing there is a clear view to the microphone of
your phone (i.e. the phone holder isnt obscured and is close to you)
then the microphone will pick your voice up well. if its out the way
then i guess it (the phone) would have problems with picking your
    voice up.
