Hi All
I currently have a T68i, and am getting a shiny new T610 tomorrow. I would
like to transfer all my numbers (Stored on the phone) to the T610. Is this
possible all at once, or will I have to beam them on by on over IR? I have a
PC data cable for the T68i, so I might be able to back up the phonebook onto
the PC and then transfer to the T610.
Any ideas?
Thanks in advance

YES Ir[1], try all at once. You can also try the bluetooth path[2].

YES[3]
[4]th possibility: Transfer by SIM. Set all or part of your numbers on your
[NEW] sim and on the T610 back to the phone.
BEWARE: if you take your own number to a new sim, the old sim will be
inaccessable. Do a PC backup before the day before.

To do it via bluetooth...
On the T610 Menu>Connectivity>Bluetooth>Options>Visibility>On
On the T68i Menu>Phonebook>Advanced>Send all>Via bluetooth
To do it via IR...
On the T610 Menu>Connectivity>Infrared port>On
On the T68i Menu>Phonebook>Advanced>Send all>Via infrared
And point the two phones IR ports at each other (the T610's is on the top by
the power button)

Don't you need a valid SIM in both phones to transfer?

<snip and reorder>
You do indeed, but you can always borrow one from a friend or relative.
It may need to be from the same operator too if the phone is locked to a
specific network.

I'll warn yer though - doing it by ir takes *forever*. Bluetooth - much
quicker.
I did exactly the same thing when I got my t610 - and for the first few goes
I forgot about bluetooth. It took so long to send via ir that I gave up
after a few goes - I thought there was something wrong with my t68i. Then
the penny dropped, doh - I remembered bluetooth and it did it no problems.
