I am trying to synchronise my T610's contacts with MS Outlook XP using
Bluetooth. I cannot get XTND to recognise the phone via Bluetooth, although
there is no problem via Infrared. Can anyone suggest what the problem might
be? I am using a TDK Bluetooth PCMCIA card, if that's relevant.

On mine I had to go to Control panel, Phone Monitor Options, Com ports
I then enabled COM7
This worked for me.

COM7 is my T610 infrared modem. What is the name of the device attached to
COM7 in your Phone and Modem Options? I should maybe enable the COM port of
the same device in my Phone Monitor Options.

Or My Bluetooth Places, Advanced Config, Client Apps tab - make a note
of the Bluetooth Serial port #. It's then a matter of enabling it in the
SE Phone Monitor Com Ports tab. Syncing outlook over BT is far more
reliable than using a serial cable for me. Manually opening the BT
serial port 1st may help - it will get closed after syncing & you should
only need to do so once to help the phone get recognised by any SE
bundled s/w as well as XTNDC.

My equivalent of your COM7 is my COM17. It is enabled, but XTND still can't
see my T610 via Bluetooth.
