Hi all!
1. Does anyone know how to fix the letter style for every SMS to CAPITAL
letters? The setting changes after every punctuation letter, which is
even worse than Sonys previous behavior to forget about the setting per SMS.
2. Is there a way to have the number of remaining characters shown all
the time? How can I know whether a certain sentence in my head will
still fit in? -> SE: a DUH! for this one

Simply tap the * key (also labelled a/A) twice. Initially when you look at a
new sms, underneath where it says "write new" you will see either "Aa" which
means the first letter in a sentence will be capitals, "a" which means all
text will be lower case or "A" which means all text will be capitals as you
want. Pressing the * key cycles between these options. If you press and hold
teh * key, it toggles between T9 text and normal text. If you press and hold
the # key, you can change languages for T9 or change to number typing -
quite handy when you want tp send a phone number without sending an entire
contact listing.

Just off the top of my head, so I may well be wrong, but doesnt the "*" key
cycle through several different options: one of which is "ABC" - always CAPS
rather than "Abc" which is Caps at the start of sentences. I will try to
remember to check this out when I get a chance

Sorry, cannot help you there. You get a fair bit of warning, but I have not
seen a way to get more. Can you use "long messages" btw?

Yep, you're right, basically... But: I want to set the letter style and
leave it to capital forever. This is not possible AFAIK. The style
changes after each punctuation character, which is even worse than
forgetting this setting per SMS on previous S/SE models. Looks like a
"deimprovement" to me...
