Wich comuter, how are you connecting, or like us here are you trying to ge
the 'puter to be telepathic?
If it's a blue tooth connection, is it a Built In module?....... Newer
Laptops have it and it's garbage. Seemingly MS havent implemented support
for it properly. If it's IR shouldnt be any problems. A little more info and
you never know your luck

You don't say how you are connecting - hence few replies! IR, cable or
BT? I'll presume BT as this causes the most grief.
If the P800 uses the same or similar proprietary s/w such as Phone
Monitor (which my T610 & most other models use) that uses virtual serial
ports, make sure to enter the correct port number - the client port &
not the BT port #. Most can get their phone to connect via BT more or
less out-of-the-box but then encounter difficulties in getting any of
the SE s/w to recognise their phone. If the advice you've received isn't
enough, I'm sure further details will help solve your problem.

Sorry guy's trying to connect through PC via cable the OS is XP Pro. I go
through all the right motions as it says so I think but its not recognising
the phone.
Any one got a step by step dummy guide on this.
Ok on my task bar I have a link properties which I see USB and its connected
to COM 4 as when I switch the phone on its says connecting - connected.
Then when I go to dial up wizard it shows " Don't forget to set the P800 in
modem when using as a modem." So I set it as modem on the phone and also
tried PC connect then a box appears saying searching for connected phone and
the a box appears select a phone to use there is a box that says "Start
without a phone" ghosted out. and also Ok ghosted out.
