'nuff said. I need some handholding. Surely some compulsively helpful person
has put together a tutorial for people like me.

RTFM first, then Google, then you may post specific questions.

What you need handholding with, specifically?

Re: Is there a tutorial on the T610?
At the TMobile site I manually entered lists of phone numbers, then
downloaded them to the phone. They appear in the SIM, but not in the phone
book. I fumbled my way into a process whereby they can be transfered one at
a time, but surely there is an easier way and before I get too far along on
this I'd like to know what it is.
Thanks.

It shouldn't be too different to the T610 - on my old T300, I select 'Phone
Book > Advanced > Copy from SIM'.
As to why they were saved on your SIM in the first place - I don't know.
Maybe there's an option on your T610 to choose the default number-saving
memory area (SIM or phone memory).

You have tried prefs/phone book/advanced options/copy from SIM?

Re: Is there a tutorial on the T610?
No access until I shut down the phone, removed the battery, and waited for a
while. Sort of a cold boot... I was then able to delete everything that I
had cobbled into the SIM and Phonebook - a fresh start.
The holy *MANUAL* says I can load the Phonebook from "PC, PDA" etc. I did
the Synchronization view, etc., but it appears that to move a phonebook from
my Palm I must go via Outlook. Is there a way to do it directly?
I converted the Palm phonebook to CSV, put it in the T610 Sync folder, but
couldn't trigger anything useful. Similarly, I activated IR on both devices,
but they won't talk to each other.
