You need to be using Outlook (NOT Express) 2000 or higher.

Re: Ericsson T610 Software installation problem
So the Ericsson software is not compatible with the Microsoft program
on my PC.
What a pile of poo. They should say this on the wrapper.
Never mind. I use my bluetooth dongle software instead which works for
the basic file transfers etc. I was just curious to see what the
Ericsson stuff was like.
Guess I'll bin it now.

It merely does what it says on the box - XTNDC will sync with Outlook.
Some people add to the confusion by referring to Outlook Express as
Outlook which is not the fault of SE. However, the BT s/w itself if
Widcomm based will allow syncing with OE but I haven't personally tried
it 'cos I use Outlook. The problem using OE is that you won't be able to
filter what contacts get sync'd etc. A possible way round this is to
setup a new OE identity just for syncing with your phone containing only
the info you want to sync.

Uh, sorry, but I believe this to be untrue. My BT dongle is widcomm based
(of this I am fairly certain), but I still can't synch with OE. This is most
likely because OE lacks the required functionality with a built in
schedule/agenda etc... Stuff which only the full Outlook package has...

I can't verify this because I've set OE to news only mode but OE is
listed as a potential client & I don't use it (or the Windows
Addressbook) for anything but as a news reader. I've just double-checked
& OE is listed in Help as a client for the IrMC profile, so at least in
theory, it does indeed support it.
