Hi All,
Just a quick one: the manual for the t610 mentions that leaving IR
connection sensing on uses extra battery power, therefore shortening life of
the current charge. Does the same thing apply to leaving it's bluetooth
connection on, and if so is it a drastic difference?
Many Thanks,
Steve

I'm not sure if you leave it on without it doing anything, but if you are
transferring data it uses power.

My battery lasts 2 days whether I leave BT on all the time (which I usually
do) or not

Buddy of mine just got a T610 and his battery use is horrendous!
His battery usually dies within 20 hours of taking it off of the
charger.
Yes, he does talk > 6 hours a day of which a couple of that is on a BT

It probably does, but bluetooth isn't going to totally kill your battery
life. I have it on all the time and I get a bunch of days' worth of standby.
The camera is a much MUCH bigger power hog.

If he talks 6 hours per charging, no wonder it dies within 20 hours.
Anyway, it might be your friend has the same problem I did initially with my
T610, battery lifetime was atrocious. Turned it in for a reflash of the
firmware, then it started working properly again. Okay, so battery life
isn't extremely good, but it's at least decent. Considering all the features
this phone has, I'm not dissatisfied.
Tell your friend to get his phone serviced, it might fix the high battery
useage issue.

No idea. I returned it to the Vodafone store where I bought it, they sent it
off...somewhere.
Wouldn't do you much good even if I did know, because I don't live in the
UK.
