    When I enter *#06# into a Siemens or Sony Ericsson phone, it will
    return the IMEI. Is this a standard code and, if so, what are these
    codes called and is there a list of others?

    Just curious.

    Not sure if this is a standard GSM code.

    I think Steve's site may be a little out of date. He still suggests
    using 111 for SMS message delivery confirmation and that hasn't worked
    for some time now.

    you can try *r* in front of your text message.

    It works for me on Fido...
