Hello, normally I would ask these questions on a specific website (like I
did with the SE's) but I cant find any for the v600. I'm having a few issues
that I can work out. I copied all the name/numbers from my sim to the phone
but now in the phone book it displays 2 of each (1 on sim and 1 on phone), I
cant find anyway to make it only show one kind. So I thought I may as well
delete them all off the phone and just use them on the sim but there is not
delete all option! So am I right in thinking that I have now delete each
duplicate number from the phones memory?

on the v525 in the contacts setup....view....all contacts or primary
    contacts....
then somewhere else, can't remember off hand, u can select if u want a
number to be a primary one or not....
so if u select all the sim numbers to be primary, it'll only show them when
u select primary contatcs to be shown

I had the same problem on my V600. In fact, after I loaded all of my
contact information in the phone address, I copied tham all to the SIM card
to have them backed-up but I then had two of every entry in the address
book. I had to manually delete each entry on the SIM card as I could not
find another way to do it. Hopefully, someone else here may have a
    solution.

The easiest way is to use Mobile Phone Tools, which you can download from
motclub.com, and it will allow you to access the sim or phone memory. Then
you can delete what you want using your computer and a data cable. I had
the same problem with my v600, and this is how I solved it.

Thats exactly what I did, using the phonetools and BT dongle, copied all
contacts to phone then deleated them off sim. All sorted. New problem now
though, see todays post (v600 - cracked facia/flip)
