Will this be true for the v710 provided by Verizon or will they
continue to offer the disabled bluetooth v710?

    Removes all doubt.

    Motorola V710 does work

I just got a motorola v710 from verizon. Using the Mobile Office kit I bought from verizon 3 cell phones ago I just loaded all my phone numbers back in with no problem.

I also got the bluetooth ear piece and followed the instructions and
    it is working as well.

The main problem I have had with the prior v60 motorola phone is when I dropped it from the top of a 260ft tower the display
was not readable...It still would ring and it was able to work enough to be able to make it transfer calls to another cell phone. Also there was a hairline crack on one hinge.

    Quicklink Mobil phonebook version 3.2.0
    Phone software version 8700_01.40.0R
    bluetooth HS820

All purchased from the Verison store.

I don't have any of the problems you describe.
