data speeds

Can anybody tell me what sort of data speeds I can expect with Nextel?
I'm looking for real user speeds not "expected" or "up to" speeds.

I'm wanting to connect to my laptop, either from my phone or a data card.
Is the Nextel data coverage the same as the phone coverage? Unlike Verizion
or ATT.
I have a Sprint data card now and just wonder if Nextel would be faster.

Using CSD (dial-up) I can get ~9.6kbps. Slow, slow, slow but it
works. I have been told that using PSD you will get ~14.4kbps but I
have not tried it due to the cost.

I got packet stream gold for a week and tested it on different phones. Its
about 14.4 with i830 but with i95 it was close to 28.8 and 33.6 with i30sx.
It was kind of disappointing but interesting. You can get i30sx on ebay for
about $25 and its worth getting one if you're going to be using it.
Downloads came it at about 2.6 kbps = 33.6k connection.

You can 2way and make phone calls while connected to the internet as well
but if you're logged in on aim or yahoo messanger you'll get kicked off
while taking a call or 2way cause the internet connect only sents data to
stay online. It doesn't recieve any data which is required for surfing the
web or running a chat program. Packet Stream Gold includes the $15 full web
service as well.

Packet Stream Gold is $55 additional a month on the phone bill but thats if
you use it for the entire month if you have it shut off in a week you'll
only have to pay like 10-12 dollars which isn't too bad. Its unlimited
megabytes of download too. I was also able to try out telenav. I was pretty
impressed with its nevigation software. You can call a toll free # and speak
an address then it gets stored on the phone and it displays arrows and
voice commands to get to your destination. Its definately work a shot.
