    Phone has to be unlocked. You need either access to the proper
    software to unlock the phone.

    from what was said there's a passcode on the phone not a subsidy lock. What
    you need is rss carrier, read your phone and go to general and you should
    see what the passcode is, you can then change it to all zeros if you wish.

    If you need rss software my AIM is CWARNOLD
