What's weird is that at the end of Part II, Neo was able to EMP the
oncoming sentinels in the REAL world. How could this be? How could he have
such extraordinary powers outside of the Matrix? Perhaps when he chose the
left door in the architect's chambers, saved Trinity, etc, he never really
left the matrix at all. In other words, perhaps the Architect has deceived
him? We'll find out on Nov 5... and BTW, discussion of The Matrix is not off
topic on alt.cellular.verizon because Neo, Trinity, and Morpheus use cell
phones to contact the "operator" when they need an exit. They quite likely
use Verizon because Cingular drops too many calls. The Agents probably use
Cingular in their headsets though.

Well, the planted mole is a question to address. If they are inside the
Matrix still, why all the drama over this sneaky guy?
It's a cop-out, but I tend to feel like Neo's telekinetic powers are just a
lame departure from the semi-science we all want out of the movies. I HOPE
there is some "reasonable" explanation, vs. "the one" just having magic
powers (lame).
OTOH, a computer-minded person would not buy the simplistic argument that
the matrix could so easily and cleanly eliminate an "anomoly" within its
software. Especially if we follow the pre-story about robots creating the
matrix as a power source, and we essentially have this huge computer
simulation being run by an independent set of beings on the outside. The
Matrix is not their loyal slave, it's just a system on which they run a
simulation, and thus they can't automatically be expected to have complete
control.

Why are all the "cool" Matrix phones never available in CDMA versions?
Kinda kills the Verizon theory... I never saw a CDMA Nokia 7100-series phone!
(Geez, and I thought I was a nerd having "serious" Star Trek TOS discussions
in the 70's! You Matrix guys put us to shame!) ;-)

Exactly. Expecting the user of a system to be omniscient and omnipotent is
more ridiculous science fiction than a matrix of unconscious electricity
drones.

The Samsung n270 (?) phone was a Sprint phone. Or was that what you were
trying to exclude when you specified the cool ones?

Oooops. You got me. Different celular technologies in each film? I assume the
Matrix takes place in a reality where WNP has already taken effect? ;-)
(Just trying to stay on topic!)
