Nextel vs. ATT Blackberry

A ATT blackberry salesman has been calling on and off for the last few
months trying to arrange a time to show me his blackberry on a free 30-day
trial. I tell him I like my Nextel i1000 plus just fine, with the $15 flat
rate I get unlimited text messaging and web browsing, free incoming calls,
etc. He says, "just wait until you see the blackberry". I finally allowed
him into my schedule. Anything I should know or watch out for?

Nextel offers a Blackberry too BTW... so if you like your service and
coverage area, that's something to consider.

I find AT&T's support of customers without Enterprise Servers is lacking..
but if you have your own Exchange setup (like most BB users would), it's
fine mostly.

The latest software is a must IMO... but otherwise no huge notables.

I consider forced-full-duplex to be a serious issue somewhere
between "..and these cars have the brake pedal on the right" and "we
decided to put the drinking water in the brown jugs, and the 'other'

Make sure you confirm AT&T's data coverage footprint. Data services (e.g.
Blackberry) only work on a certain portion of AT&T's own network, whereas
Nextel's data services work the same anywhere on the Nextel U.S. network.
