    There is a reason why I'm considering a Nextel Phone for myself--to
    simply give certain supervisors more flexibility in contacting me if
    they need to "chastise" me for any reason or I can contact them if I
    have any issues that I need to bring up without having to use my
    company's Old School i1100 Candybar Nextel Phones. Now I would like
    your opinions on the following phones:

    i90c
    * Flip-Phone
    * No Color Screen
    * J2ME Compliant
    * External Caller ID
    * "Silent Connect" option

    i95cl
    * GIF 89a-quality Color Screen
    * Flip-Phone
    * J2ME Compliant
    * External Caller ID
    * "Silent Connect" Option
    * Bulky compared to the i90c and the i730

    i730
    * 16-Bit Color
    * Flip-Phone
    * J2ME Compliant
    * External Caller ID
    * "Silent Connect" Option
    * GPS Enabled
    * GPS might require Third-Party Monthly Service

    Any thoughts on what Nextel iDEN Phone I should deploy? Should I go for
    a "Candy-Bar" Nextel Phone if by all means possible or should I go for a
    Clamshell Nextel Phone instead?

    "Candy-Bar" Phone--A Nextel Phone that does not "flip", it resembles a
    Landline Phone and/or an old-school radio.

    "Clamshell" Phone is classified as a Nextel Phone that CAN flip, and
    it's pricier than Candy-Bar Phones.

    P.S. If any of you have any GPS-Enabled Nextel iDEN Phones (It's
    worthless for me to contact an Office Worker at Nextel because time is
    NOT on my side here) with GPS-Capability, is there a monthly and/or
    one-time flat charge for GPS "things"? Also, if there is a cost, how
    much does this "GPS Thing" cost? What is GPS actually used for? Reason
    why I'm concerned is because I have Mapping Software on my PDA and I
    want to know if it's worth it for me to get a GPS-enabled Nextel iDEN
    Phone or not while I have Rand McNally StreetFinder for my Handheld.....

    Oh, I forgot the i60...basically a clone of the i90c Clamshell Phone,
    BUT with NO External Caller ID--big minus.

    Perhaps if I'm gonna "Go Nextel", maybe I should start with an i730?

    Other than being a clamshell, the i60 is nothing like the i90. Even the
    displays are different.

    Having owned a few of these phones over the last few years (i1000+,
    i700+, i55sr, i85s, i90c, i730) -- It all depends on what you want, but
    if you like expensive toys, get the i730.

    If not, then get the i90c if you prefer a flip or the i55sr if you
    prefer a non-flip, or if you're clumsy with the phone.

    I have no experience with the new i730, though the case seems somewhat
    flimsy to me. I have a lot of experience with both the i90 and the
    i95 and I can tell you that the i90 is superior. It is smaller, more
    durable, and is void of all the games and other garbage that clutter
    up the menu screens
