Help needed with transfering ringtones via cable

I have a 3589I, DKU5 usb cable and Nokia Suite 5 with Sound Converter
version 1.0.47.001. When I update the ringtone to the phone I get the error
"Failed to update ringing tone to the phone". I know I have connectivity
to the phone because I can edit my address book, transfer jpegs and transfer
via the content copier. Contacting Nokia tech support was worthless other
than for them to tell me I need to be using a Midi Type 1 General Midi file.

1. Is anyone successfully transferring midi files to the 3589I via the
Nokia Suite 5?

2. If so can you post a midi file that you are uploading to your phone?

3. Am I correct in assuming that the cable must be good if I can transfer
jpeg and address?

4. Is there any other software that works with the 3589I that will allow me
to transfer ring tones?

You have to get MobileMB or Oxygen Phone Manager 2. If you've got Verizon they've disable using PC suite to upload ringtones. They want you to pay with the Get It Now function.
