Anyone know how to disable the screensaver on the Nokia 3510i (Orange
    UK)..?

There isn't as far as I can see a disable option in the menus, all I can
see is the timer setting, but this won't accept a zero value and has a
    max. setting of 60 minutes.

    Ivor,
You CANT disable the screensaver on the 3510i, as you say you can only
change the delay time before it starts, The reason being that Colour screens
use lots of battery power and so wouldn't last very long so its there as a
battery saving feature becasue it only uses B&W

    Hope this helps

Ok, thanks. I don't use things like wallpaper so when the phone is idle
and the lights are off I wouldn't think it uses any more power than with
the screensaver on, as that displays the clock in large numbers..!

It's only a spare phone anyway, bought as an emergency replacement for a
lost 6310i until I can get another one.

    Thanks again,

    Ivor

The funny things about Nokia phones are that many simple functions
that should be standard in a phone they simply do not include these!

One blatant example is that you cannot turn the lights off in many
Nokia phones - i had a 3330. My god! I used to receive around 50 sms
per day and each time it will light up to announce the message! In the
end i had to charge the phone 2 times per day....

Turning the lights off should have been a basic thing in a phone.
