I used to use the MA 620 infra-red adapter, but now use an Epox bluetooth
adapter which I find to be faster and connection is simple; just walk into
the room!

IrDA is slower and it's requires visual contact between your adapter and
mobile device. This makes it usually very unreliable. With Bluetooth you
don't need to have your mobile right close to your PC, instead it could be
in another room close by.
Bluetooth adapters cost about 30-100 euros depending on the model and where
you make the purchase.
