I have an old Nokia 5110 which I use in the CARK-1 that came fitted in
my 'new' (1998) car. It all seems to work OK except I find the battery
in the phone runs down very quickly (much more quickly than when its
not in the CARK-1). The phone indicates it is charging and I've
checked the voltage at the charging terminals and it seems correct.
Recently I noticed the battery seemed to last longer if I didn't press
the phone right into the cradle so the connection to the antenna isn't
made. Could this be the problem? Does the phone always use more power
when it is connected to the antenna or could there be a fault with the
antenna/connection lead that is causing this?
BTW - Is there a replacement for the 5110 that has easy to read
buttons like the 5110 and will fit the CARK-1 and will take my old
Vodafone SIM?
Thanks for any info.

Re: CARK-1 flattens my phone battery
6230 is the newest phone that will suit that car kit .. other commonly
available phones to suit are the 6110, and 7110.

6230 will NOT fit that kit but the 6310i should unless you mean
CARK-1W which is Bluetooth
