Upload your own ringtones?

I just purchased a Nokia 3595, and I am wondering if it is possible to upload
ringtones to the phone from a PC using the internet. Attach the sound file to
an Email directed to the phone's address perhaps? Now that AT&T has expanded
their profit base to include picture/ringtone downloads that range in maturity
between 'stupid and dumbass-cool', some of us would like to install ringtones
that actually sound like a phone ringing, without having someone pick our
pockets again and again.

Yes, I know. Cellular is no longer about basic voice communication; it is now
about silly noises and pictures, postage-stamp sized, funky-cool bling-bling
ugly-ass silvery jellybean-shaped equipment, built-in cameras to take pictures
of genitalia, and silly-ass, built-in cartoonish animation to keep the hip-hop
crowd grinning like wankin' dumbasses. And of course, it is very profitable.
American businesses are whores: they would sell canned dog farts if thought
they could make a few bucks with it.

Unfortunately, the professional over-30 crowd has been left out of this
evolution of what was originally a very useful business tool. AT&T's cellular
service has now degraded into yet another silly kiddie-fad, complete with an
unshaven, bummy spokesperson. It's all about the money, I guess.

At any rate, I chose this particular phone because it looks and acts much like
'classic equipment' that I've used in the past, and I gave up my wonderful old
Panasonic Duramax only because TDMA is being phased out. (Seems like every
time shareholders demand more profit, AT&T finds some way to force you to
replace everything you've ever bought from them.) All I ask now is a ringtone
that sounds like a phone ringing, without opening up my wallet...again.

JD , I agree with everything xcept this part because 14
years ago when the world began to agree to
the G in GSM , the folks in USA thought it best to stick to the TDMA.
in hindsight the US Shareholders are to blame back then for who decided
it was more "profitable" to keep TDMA instead of switching to GSM

Ahhhh, you are not keeping up with American Corporate Strategy, my friend!
Around here, it's FAR more profitable to incrementally release new technology
in very small steps, as late in the game as possible. Imagine if you will,
the BILLIONS that will be made when the switch to hi-def TV hits the wall.
American Corporations deliberately stonewall the public and wait until the
last second before governmentally mandated changes force them to introduce
expensive new appliances to replace expensive old appliances that people have
just bought. More money can be made by going from a, to b, to c, rather than
from a, directly to c.

And with product lifespans growing ever shorter already, we've been
conditioned to think that most everything *should* be replaced every so often,
regardless of what it is or what it originally cost. It is this notion of a
'disposable society' that distresses me. Landfills and junkyards are running
out of space, while corporate America grows ever richer from our percieved
notion that replacement, ...is good.

Much more convenient way is to use technological F-Bus cable for the
data synchronization purposes for this phone: this cable connects
under special engineering plug under the phone's battery. You can see
this, if you will remove the battery. Also you will need special
software for data synchronization, for example, Oxygen Phone Manager
II. You can download the trial version of the program and view the

version support Nokia 3595 on software level.

predefined ones in program, set custom images as startup, wallpaper

The only way I can think of is by getting a cable - these are less
than a tenner from http://www.logomanager.co.uk/php/cat.php?id=106 and
then using MobiMB which is 15 quid. Avoid Oxygen like the plague-
costs a fortune and they don't even let you connect as many phones as
you want. At least MobiMB lets me customise my family and friend's
phones as well as my own, without them charging me each time.

I can say that the cost of the cable and MobiMB is a bargain- they
will let you put on any 'normal' ringtone, as well as let you change
other features such as logos and wallpapers, and games.

This is not true. Basically, you can connect infinite number of
phones, but in Individual license (costs 39 EU euroes) you can upload
information only in one phone and in Family License (costs 59 EU
euroes) in three phones. In case, if you will change one of your
phones, you can always unregister and old phone and register the new
one without any additional payment.
As you can see, phone quantity in license restricts only upload
functionality for the phones, you wish to use in current license, but
it doesn't apply if you are changing one phone to another and on
read-only handsets. You can read about this in our Frequently Asked

No matter how you put it, I'd prefer no restrictions! People do not
want to have to fork out extra for working with their kids phones, not
even commenting on the problems with the software, as discussed in
other threads. Logomanager software has no restrictions on the number
of phones you work with.

I didn't know about this difference until I started using MobiMB. I
can work with my phones, my family's phones and my friends phones. I
only ever put on one logo or ringtone as a favour to a friend- if they
then want this more often, they are more than happy to get the
software for themselves.

i think hawker works for logomanager ... lol

Nope- just like winding Oxygen up! The more they don't like it, the
more I wind. They never answered my support requests about my trashed
phone, so what do they expect. Plus I do like the infrared port and
software I got from LM.

Maybe I should ask them for a job! lol.
