It is time to upgrade my cell phone. I really like the Nokia user
interface, but I want to get a quad band GSM phone. Does anyone have any
idea if Nokia is going to introduce a quad band phone in the foreseeable
future, or is this a lost cause?
Thanks,

I think it's too early to say for sure. Just remember how long it was
before Nokia introduced any tri-band phones. At present you have to
make a triband choice between 900/1800/1900 or 850/1800/1900 but so
far nothing that has all the (major) bands. Don't forget that GSM 850
is only about two years old.

Re: Quad Band GSM Phone?
PalmOne Treo 600e is a quad band - but very costly!

It's as I said quad band phones are not that common yet.

This lacks the GSM 850 (800) band, in spite of being "quad band".

The 6630 appears to be quad band; but the fourth band is WCDMA not GSM :-(

Unfortunately (or fortunately depending on what you need) it's quad
band with 900/1800/1900/WCDMA. It doesn't include GSM 850 which is
more likely what people want such as is offered by Mot/HS Treo.
