Apparently it is possible to unlock a 3310 by simply typing in some sort of
code onto the keypad. Anyone know how to do it??

    Cheers

    Yes thanks ;-)

Seriously, do a Google search for "DCT3 unlocking" - there are several
sites where you can get the code free. Don't let anyone con you into
    paying for it.

I can vouch for what "Speck's" says. I've just done exactly what he said and
used the website http://unlockme.co.uk/dct3free.html to unlock my old 3310
(which was locked to 02) and my old 6150e (which was locked to Orange). I've
got PAYG SIM's for both of them. Both phones now work when I swap the SIM
cards over, and they also work if I put my Vodafone SIM in as well.

    Many thanks Speck.

    Mike.

Download a DCT3 unlock calculator. You'll need the IMEI (*#06#) and
    the original network operator MNC.

Thanks to you all for your advice which has proved to be most valuable. My
phone is now unlocked and available to all networks.
