Try turning off warning tones in profiles. Works on 6600.

So you can't take pictures without the subject knowing.
In fact in some places it's a legal requirement that cameras make a
noise when the shutter is fired.

Hopefully this will effect sales of camera phones to the extent of making
them an add on because here in the UK you have to hand your phone in to
security instead of just switching the click off. Pervs and those of
malicious intent will find a way round a shutter click. Going to be a lot of
dirty old men in Korea with bad coughs on the beach this year ;-)

Not sure about the 6820, but try this:
select camera
settings
camera sounds (toggle to on/off)
That is the 7600 route anyhow!
Mine is set to off, so I can sneak up to the t*pless birds on the beach you
speak of!

Thats old news (13 November 2003)
Im sure it wont stop someone who wants 2 take pic's
Look at the NK6600, you can VIDEO someone on that and it dont even make a sound.
Plus you can buy digital camera's now that are just as small as a mobile phone with a lot better quality pic's.
It will never work.
