Hi,I have an issue connecting a 6820 handset to my desktop PC using PC
Suite software. initial installation of the application, PC suite pairs
with my phone and all functions are available.

However, following a reboot of the desktop, the phone is visible to
Connection Manager but any attempt to run applications generates a
'Connection to phone lost' error, although the phone is still visible
    and connected in Connection manager.

The only way to re-establish connection is to perform a full uninstall &
reinstall of both the PC Suite software and drivers for bluetooth dongle.
I'm running XP service pack 2, and have tried installations of both PC
Suite v5.8 and 6.41 with the same result and tried both Micro$oft and
    manufacturers drivers for the dongle.

Have used v4 with a 6310i for nearly 2 years and never experienced any
    difficulties.

    Any help would be appreciated.

Re: Bluetooth connectivity issue PC Suite - 6820

I posted the following a few days ago, looks like it's a problem with
    the phone itself perhaps.
I've gone and bought a cable on ebay altogether, as I've had enough of
    trying the bluetoth.

    +++++++++++++++++++++++
When I try to use the backup feature of the Nokia PC suite using
a bluetooth connection from my PC I get the following problems.

If I cant see the phone listed as connected,
I can either establish the connection from the PC,
or else from the phone (the pc is listed in paired devices).
Once I establish the connection both ends notify me,
but the connection drops again after a few seconds,
so I dont get time to complete the backup.

I've not had any other problems sending files to or from my
phone using the bluetooth, just using the nokia pc suite for backups.

Any ideas anyone? Is there a way to make the connection permanent until
    I manually disconnect it?

We can recommend to have a look at Oxygen Phone Manager II (
http://www.opm-2.com/ ). Our software uses the same services, as Nokia PC
Suite does. Just don't forget to set correct bluetooth serial port in
'Tools' -> 'Options' -> 'Connection and common' in our software. You can
download the latest trial version from our official website:

    http://www.opm-2.com/download/opm2.zip

If you have any questions and/or suggestions, concerning our
program, feel free to post them on our official forum
