Might pay to try aus.comms.mobile news group if you can't get help here.

    I personally use Vodafone pre-paid myself. http://www.vodafone.com.au/

I recharge each month with $AU79 and get $AU500 of call, text, MMS and
data. Starter kits are available for $AU29 and give $AU30 of calls and
$50 of data. You can recharge with as little as $AU20 and that will
also give you 20 minutes of Vodafone to Vodafone minutes to call other
Vodafone mobiles at a cost of $AU0.20 each! If you top up with a higher
rate you will get even more Vodafone to Vodafone minutes. Although my
$AU79 deal does not give you Vodafone to Vodafone calls for the $AU0.20.

This is the Vodafone web page on Global roaming:
    http://www.vodafone.com.au/rep/coverage/going_os.jsp

It looks like it does, but you may have to contact them to have it
    activated.
