    Hi

i've been trying for days now to synchronise my cellphone with my laptop
    (Outlook).

Every other connection goes ok (I mean File transfer, sending SMS
through Laptop)... all the applications in PC Suite go well, EXCEPT Pc Sync.

every time I want to synchronise the cellphone, I get an error message:

    "PC Sync-information.

The mobile phone did not react.

    Possible solution:
Make sure your mobile phone is in standby modus & start the
    synchronisation again."

The icon of PC Sync is coloured, which means the laptop has a connection
    with the 6230.

In the preferences of PC syn, I added the same username & pw as in the
cellphone. I have tried this & also without any username&pw; fails both.

I even don't get any message on the phone; no "failed to sync" message
on the phone or something like that.

Why the F*CK doesn't my cellphone want to sync with the laptop??!!!

I googled for 3 hours, searched like hell, but I found no solution.

    Please help, cause I'm despered.

    thank you.

Have you checked that the username and passwords match in both Nokia PC
Sync and the phone? Without them both being set the same the phone will
not sync, this stops others reading your phone.

Are you using the version from the CD or from www.nokia.com.
If the former download the latest version from the web and try again.

I had the same problem, mine was caused because my keypad was locked,
without a locked keypad it works fine. With the keypad everything but the
    sync works.

    Hope that helps.
