data from Microsoft Outlook, WAB (Windows address book), CSV (comma-separated
values) and export phonebook back to Outlook, WAB, CSV and other popular
    formats.
Calendar section allows you to organize your schedule in Microsoft
Outlook-like Planner view as well as view all events as a table. You can create
events of various types: Meeting, Reminder, Anniversary etc. Planner shows all
the events of the selected day (work week, week, month) visually. Recurrent
events like Birthdays can be easily organized also. You can set the Active time

clipboard. Image browser allows you to preview image thumbnails and view full
image as a hint by pointing mouse to the thumbnail. Image browser displays each
image as a thumbnail that quickly expands to full size when you stop your mouse
    over the image.
Melodies and Sounds section allows you to view and listen to the melodies,
ringing tones and voice records stored in your phone, add new melodies or delete
unwanted ones. Supported file formats are RNG, MID, WAV, AMR, AWB, MP3, AU, XMF.
Videos section allows you to browse and manage your videos that can be viewed
on PC using default system player associated with the specific file type.
Messages section represents all messages (SMS, Smart SMS, MMS, E-mail and
others) stored in your phone. This section allows you to read Inbox, Outbox,
Drafts, Sent, My folders, Mailbox folders content, display basic message types -
SMS, MMS, E-mail, Beamed (received via BT or IrDA), BIO (Picture message,
Operator Logo, Ringing tone, WAP access point), read and display file attaches
for MMS, E-mail and Beamed messages. It also can create and delete custom
message folders, delete messages from your phone and move them between folders.
You also will be able to create and send both plain and Unicode SMS messages to
individual recipients as well as to contact groups.
Tuning Profiles and To-Do Items is simple and clear like all other functions:
you can set all Profiles parameters, manage your tasks, import data from
Microsoft Outlook and export tasks back to Microsoft Outlook, XML, CSV and other
    popular formats.
Oxygen Phone Manager for Symbian phones has an ability to store any data
either in Phone memory (Flash memory card is also supported) or on your hard
disk. It may be useful if you experience a lack of phone memory and do not want
to lose your pictures, contacts, etc.
Oxygen Phone Manager II has full Unicode support - information can be entered
    and stored in any language.
Oxygen Phone Manager II for Symbian OS phones works under Microsoft Windows 98

    Hello!

We support direct DKU-2 cable connection for Series 60, Series 80 Second
Edition and Series 90 Nokia smartphones and communicators.

We don't support technological cables for Nokia phones or non-original
wires. Also, we support only direct cable connection for Nokia 6630, 9300,
9500 and 7710 smartphones (cradle not supported). We recommend to use DKU-2
connection for Nokia Symbian-based smartphones as the most effective and
    fast connection for these devices.

PS: we don't support cable connection only for Siemens, Panasonic, Motorola,
Benq and SonyEricsson Symbian- based smartphones.

If you have any further questions, do not hesitate to contact us.
    Best regards, Maxim Vyalkov

    Hello!

Unfortunately, we don't support original DKU-2 cable connection under MS
Windows 98 SE for Nokia Symbian-based smartphones: there is no corresponding
channel for data-transfer in drivers version for Windows 98SE. However, you
can still connect your phone via Bluetooth under Windows 98 SE OS. You
should use MS Windows 2000 or XP to connect your Nokia Symbian-based
    smartphone via DKU-2 cable.

    > I'm not sure what is meant by technological cables.
    > Do you mean non-origional to mean technological?

'Technological cables' are special service cables, which connect under the
phone's battery. We don't support them in Oxygen Phone Manager II for
    Symbian-based phone.

If you have any further questions, do not hesitate to contact us.

Ok thanks again. So I need to get I presume a blue tooth dongle for my computers
usb in order to use Oxygen ll on my current set up. I dont want to change my
current 98SE to 2000 and as far as I know I can't upgrade to XP on my Pentium3.

You (or anyone else) couldn't suggest a dongle setup that I could purchase
before ordering Oxygen ll could you.

You must forgive my lack of knowledge........... I'm a late developer!!

    Thanks
    Steve

    Hello!

    Thank you for your reply!

Sure, we can help you. In most cases, bluetooth dongles on Widcomm/Broadcomm
drivers and CSR chipset are quite good choice. As per reports from our
respective customers, Billionton and D-Link transceivers seem to be stable.

PS: Windows XP with Service Pack 2 can be installed on Pentium III. It works
even on first 'Slot 1' Pentium III 600 Mhz , but of course Windows 98 SE
needs much more less system resources, than Windows XP.

If you have any further questions, do not hesitate to contact us.

Aldi have a BT dongle coming for sale at £9.99 this week which if it works
as well as the last offering, is worth buying. Ten quid is a reasonable
price to pay give/take a quid or so P+P.

    I personally wouldn't consider <upgrading to> XP; I'm still on 98SE and if
the software don't work then I don't need it

    bye.

Thank you for all the help you have offered.I actually have found a
mobileaction bluetooth in a cupboard and installed it with the driver minus
their software which didn't work the first time round.

I have downloaded the oxygen ll, but it will take a while to suss out the
installation and use.I am however impressed with what Ive seen so far.

    Best Regards

    Steve.

Oxygen Phone Manager II for Symbian OS phones WISH LIST

    [SNIP]

I am pretty happy with OPMII, there are a couple of features I would
    like to see implemented.

First is a feature that Nokia PC Suite has where it sits in the System
Tray on the PC, this allows initiating a Sync from the phone. In fact
with Bluetooth I just need to enter the house and a Sync is initiated
    automatically!

The second feature I would like to see, if it is possible is to update
the time on the phone during a Sync or a separate process.

Thank you for your kind words and suggestions, Simon. Let me tell some
    thoughts about them:
    1. PC Suite is mostly the sync application, while OPM is the interactive one. It
would be a strange thing for customers to see OPM works like a robot :-)
    2. The feature you suggested is rather for Oxygen Express. We do have plans
about making Oxygen Express version compatible with Symbian OS smartphones.
    3. For security reasons I would not recommend you to have Bluetooth always
    switched on ;-)

If it suits you, we can implement the feature of automatic time sync every
time a phone is connected. Whats do think about it?

If you will have any further questions, please do not hesitate to contact us.

    With best regards, Oleg Fedorov.

Yep, up on the Bluetooth security issues.

Great stuff Oleg! I'm sure it is an option many people would like.

Hopefully other's will come up with other ideas on improving OPMII
rather than continually knocking it. This is the type of service that
makes a difference, taking on suggestions from the users. They

This may not be in your area, but would it be possible to implement a
feature that allows the Symbian phones to access the Internet via your
    computer rather than GPRS?
