Anybody know how to get this on the 6680. Can't find it anywhere. Why is
it on a cheap phone and not on an expensive model.

For some dumb reason Nokia has decided to leave it out. It is really
annoying, I hope they wake up to themselves with the new E Series phones.
Unfortunately you will have to download third party software, have a
look at: http://www.handango.com/ or http://www.my-symbian.com/
I have not seen any that perform exactly like Nokia Series 40 phones.

The 6680 does have an auto-key lock!
Menu-Tools-Settings-Security Settings-Phone and SIM-Autolock period-User
defined.
The default Lock Code is 12345, but if you want to change it in the Phone
and SIM menu select Lock Code, type in 12345, the select you own 5 digit
code and confirm it. Job Done!

That is actually a Security Lock rather than a Key lock to prevent
accidental key presses. Most users do not want to have to enter a PIN
every time they want to make or receive a call.

Since this thread is about KEY lock, and not "security lock" (you're
confused, a keylock doesn't ask for a PIN) it makes no difference. The
user wants the same effect has pressing Menu * on a Series 40 nokia.
There are applications that can do this, but they are hit and miss and
usually end up being closed by the Symbian OS to conserve memory anyway.

Series 60 doesn't still have automatic keypad lock, but I've used Autolock
with for example N 6630 and N N70 without any problems:
http://fuse.stc.cx/autolock/
It let's you select time delay (mm:ss) for the lock and runs in the
background after that.

Re: 6680 Auto Keylock

How about just a link to author's web site?
http://fuse.stc.cx/autolock/
This is the most secure way and gives credit to whom it belongs.
