    Does there exists any non-Nokia versions of PC suite that might have
    been written by computer professionals? Nokias phones are quite
    ok, but who ever designed and implemented their pc software should
    be taken aroung the corner and put out of his misery?

    Oxygen Phone Manager is EXCELLENT! Much better than any Nokia PC Suite.

    I use Oxygen Phone Manager too and I like it. They have even
    implemented some of my suggestions!

    ....but the UI in incomprehensible to normal humans, the Help doesn't and the
    programme is a fantastic memory hog (but so is PC Suite).

    I can recommend LogoManager Pro Suite- not a memory hog and a great
