I have a Nokia 1100 that was purchased in Thailand and has been working
perfectly in the UK, but now it comes up with the message 'Local mode' on
the screen, and what ever you do you can not get rid of it. This includes
removing the battery.

Has anybody heard of this before, or do you know how to fix this issue.
