I was wondering what kind of memory card my 6255i uses. Is it the same
type as what's in my digital camera? Is there a good alternative to the
Nokia brand? The book says not to use an "SD" card. So what can I use?

You need an MMC card. These are the same height/width/shape as SD, but
thinner. There are some other technical difference between the two
that are irrelevant for your purposes. SD cards are too thick for the
    slot provided in the 6255i.

    I've got a 6255 CDMA. It came with a 32meg mmc card. It couldn't read/write to
the usual mmc cards that computers can. Then I was told I needed a dual voltage
card. I'm now using 256meg dual voltage mmc card in it and it works both on the
computer and in the phone, no problem.
