Hi guys just upgraded from N70 to N95. So far so good ,really pleased with
the features and the camera is something else altogether (for a phone) :-)

I have one irritation though and it has carried over from the N70 so I
presume all the N-Series phones do the same thing.

I want to hide the odd photo and video from the gallery so that when I pass
the phone to friends etc I don't have to worry that they will see anything I
don't want them too. I tried to put said items into an album hoping that
would sort it but unfortunately the gallery still shows the offending
    articles :-/

I want to keep these items on the phone so is there anything I can do to
hide objects from the all seeing eye of the gallery?

    Thanks for your help

Creat a folder for such a content somwher on the meory card and change its
attributes to system and hidden, than just move all images that yopu want
to keep in private in that folder, restart phone and thats it.

    BTW:
For more question I am available at my forum section, there is apretty huge
N95 related topic with more than 130 pages of poor N95 disccussion. . .

    BTW:

From my N93 review, part about gallery.. . .

    Gallery application:

Considering that the N93 is aimed to be the ultimate imaging and multimedia
device I think that it is important to make a brief overview of the default
    gallery application.

The gallery application is the same one which is introduced with Feature
pack 3 (2nd edition) and it is the same on all 3rd ed phones.

There is no doubt that it looks awesome, it causes a wow-effect at first
sight but after some time it could become very annoying, especially
considering that it slows down as the number of images growth. Well, you
see, the newer versions of build in gallery application beside the speed
problem has one really huge annoyance, it lacks any kind of sorting and it
puts all stuff together into one single bin, stuffs like images, downloaded
and recorded video clips, taken screens shots and so long. Now try to
imagine how hard it to find right file if you have few hundreds of images
and numerous video clips, with mentioned speed issue it sometime seems as a
    “Mission: Impossible”.

It really has to have some kind of power mode for power user, something
like RPV extended mode. In my personal opinion even stone age Nokia 6600
has a quite better solution. Maybe it does not look so good but it has
possibility to arrange images and videos into folders and subfolders.
Although theoretically it supports albums, it is completely useless, I mean
even if you sort images to albums it leave all of them in main view along
with videos and that is quite stupid from my point of view.

The worse thing in this whole story is the the fact that the best 3rd party
gallery application, amazing Resco Photo Viewer isn’t ported to the 3rd
edition and it will newer be because Resco management have announced news
about completely abandoning developing for the Symbian platform and I’m so
sad about because they produce some really good and useful applications and
I have had really good cooperation with them.

However,, I have to admit that application is a bit faster on the N93,
thumbnails creating and loading is noticeable better and scrolling of the
zoomed image is much improved, it is faster and smother at the same time.
The Real player has also improved a lot and now it has native support for
playing even iPod video files (sample) without converting. It means that
N93 is not only aimed to be the powerful video recorder, it also pretends
to be excellent video player, and it is. The only problem with the video
clips is the weird fact that gallery application fail to create thumbnail
for the mp4 video clips that are not recorded by the video recorder.
