I have had a Nokia N73 for about 10 months. I actually quite like the phone,
and use Tomtom for sat nav and RoadSync for push email so it's serves me
well as a work phone.
One thing that is annoying is how slow it is though, particularly moving
from menu to menu.
Anything to speed it up?
Current software version is 3.0638.0.0.1
Regards

Why not trying to upgrade the firmware to version 4? I've heard it's
much better...

I hope someone has some answers.
Going from a MobiPocket Reader ebook back to the MobiPocket Library
menu takes around 3 minutes. Trying to open a longish Word document
in QuickOffice is a waste of time - I give up after 10 minutes.
I have updated to V 3.0704.1.0.1 using Nokia Software updater but that
disn't help. I know there have been four or more updates since then
and that there is now a Version 4.something but Nokia Software Updater
doesn't find them or my phone.

Re: N73 - Slow Speeds
I remember when I first did an update on my N73 the latest update was not
recognised and I had to hack the hand set first.
This site shows how to do
it....http://thenokiablog.com/2006/12/08/h...ernet-edition/
Once I did that the phone can be updated - it's almost like not all updates
are released to the UK market...

Thanks for that info, Jim.
I'm a bit reluctant to change the product code just yet.
Perhaps V4 hasn't been released for Australia just yet.
I think I will wait a week or so, and if the phone still won't update,
I will bite the bullet and try your procedure with fingers and
everything else crossed.
Is it possible using the NSS to revert back to the original product
code? I would expect so, but it would be nice to have it confirmed
before changing!
TIA
