How many applications do you have installed in the phone memory? If you
can - check your free memory.
I think it's in Tools - File Manager - then press Options key and select
    Memory Details.
You might be surprised how little free memory you have.

It's rare for an N95 to croak - they're fairly robust little units.

    Robust my ****.

I had an N95 which was replaced under ELF and the replacement N95 kept
getting errors . After contact the TIO I got a N96. Now 3 weeks later I
am on the 3rd N96. (The second was was faulty out the box!)

My daughter has a N95 8gb. Before that she had E65 which was replace 3
times before being replaced with a N95 8gb. the current N95 8gb is her
2nd one. All of these is within 4 months!

N95 and N95 8gb don't have enough memory to run many programs at once.
N96 has more memory but still has some problems running many programs at
once, but can run more that the N95s. Not much software is yet available
    for the N96 also.

There is something very strange with Nokia phones at the moment.

How many applications do you have installed? Never mind the memory, but
there appears to be an unusual bug in the N95, N96 and at least the E71 (my
handset) whereby having lots of applications *installed* if not running,
    causes memory issues.

I had the same issue. I uninstalled stuff I was not going to use and... now
    it's working like a charm.
