It's time to upgrade my cell phone, and I'm looking for a phone that can do
GSM, digital, and bluetooth. I want to use AT&T Wireless in the San
Francisco Bay Area. According to AT&T the phone I want doesn't exist.
The bluetooth phones from Nokia only do GSM.

Is there a Nokia phone, or any manufacturer's phone, due out soon that does
GSM and digital, while directly supporting bluetooth?

I currently use an adapter for bluetooth with a Nokia 6160, but I hate the
adapter that is required. It constantly falls off and renders the entire
experience of bluetooth even less convenient than having no headset at all.

If by "digital" you mean TDMA then the answer is a definite no. The
only BT phones available now are pretty much all GSM. I believe
there's supposed to be a BT model for CDMA phones soon, but at present
only GSM only phones have BT.

But for whatever reason ATTWS makes a difference. They call their
TDMA phones "digital" and call their GSM phones "next generation"
phones even though plenty of people in "this" generation have been
    using GSM.

Is there any logical reason why some future phone wouldn't support TDMA and

Nokia 6340i does both TDMA (800/1900) and GSM (850/1900.)
Sony/Ericsson T62 also does TDMA and GSM.

There is no such Nokia phone.

The excellent Sony Ericsson T62u does support GSM, "digital" (TDMA IS-136),
and Bluetooth. It's available for sale in my local ATTWS store here in the SF
    Bay Area.

CORRECTION: The T62u does *not* have built-in Bluetooth. It is compatible
with a Bluetooth adapter, but I notice that's not something you want.

AFAIK, there's no phone with GSM, "digital" (TDMA IS-136), and built-in
    Bluetooth.
