Is it better to switch off phone before plug into charger ?
is there a surge when plugging wich can shorten phone life ?
Is the charge longer with phone on.

Re: Nokia charging question
With my 6610, there is no difference in charging duration whether the phone
is on or not (all around 1hr 15).
With modern batteries, I don't think there is a difference at all.

I'd agree with this. I tend to have my phone off when I charge it because I
more often than not let it run down completely before I do so.

[Top post snipped]
I tend to agree. I rarely charge my batteries on the phone in any case, I
have several that I use in sequence, charging them on a desktop external
charger. That way I always have at least 1 or 2 fully charged batteries in
my pocket when needed.
