Hello,
Please excuse if these questions were already discussed here. As a new
6310i user I'd like to download a customized ringtone I have on my PC
( WAV format )
1) Which are the ringtone file formats supported by 6310i ? MIDI !?
MMF !? Others !?
2) Which are, quite briefly, the steps in downloading the ringtone PC
-> 6310i when using the infrared port ?
Many thanks in advance.

Re: 6310i ring tones downloading
Hi,
I have a 7650, so im not 100% sure about the advice im giving you, but as
far as i know, nokias only take midi files. MMF files are only used on
samsung phones. As for wav files, you will have to go to the nokia forums
site and search for the multimedia converter to turn it into a AMR file
which nokias also handle. Then you can send it to your phone using infrared
and nokia pc suite. Sorry if this explanation is confusing.

Tones can only be monaural. To be uploaded/downloaded to the phone
they need to be in "RTTL" format.

RTTL only. No polyphonic tones.

Well, for one thing you need to have a computer that has an infrared
port to make a transfer between the computer and the 6310i. You will
need software such as Logomanager, Logoexpress or Oxygen Phone
Manager.

7650 uses polyphonic ringtones. 6310i uses monophonic ringtones. It
does not use MMF files.
