Bit of advice with the 3650, please.
Recently changed from my trusty 6310i (fuel injected :-) ), and have a few
questions about the 3650, and would appreciate any feedback, please.
For those of you with the 3650, how do you find the ringtones? (I DON'T mean
"how do you find them" as in "where are they on the phone"), I mean "How do
you find the sound level? On mine they don't seem too loud at all, in fact
whilst driving my car (which is fairly quiet) I have often missed
calls/messages, as I've not heard the bloody phone ring. Also the audio
quality isn't that grand either, in the earpiece. Sometimes when in a
noisey(ish)environment (shopping mall for instance) it can be a hard job to
hear the caller (the volume in both cases is set to the loudest).
I know that the monophonic tones ARE indeed more "piercing", but the poly
tones on my 3650 leave a little to be desired in the volume stakes :-(
Would appreciate any feedback, please.
Thanks folks
PS I have also found that when one receives messages, it takes longer to
open them that it ever did with my 6310i. About 8seconds to be precise!
Cheers

Re: Nokia 3650
i would agree with all what you are saying..
Yes the tones arnt very loud i do often miss calls too.
obviously you can adjust the volume up but even so stll not brilliant.
and yes the messages do seem to take a bit to open too.. think it may also
depend on the speed of the card.. the one they supplied maybe a bit slow.?
seems a bit slow on other things too like opening apps etc..
thanx

Thanks for that Nigel.
At least I know it's not just MY unit that appears to be a little less than
one would expect.

In mine, seems to be a bug : loudness is higher when I test the ringstone in
General Mode than when it plays at a call... Have you seen the same bug ?

Re: Nokia 3650
I presume you have turned the volume all the way up,,, Now my phone has been
from Florida to Minnesotta and to Wisconson during a Greatful Dead show without
a single hitch.
Most of my ring tones come from Ace's site and or this site;
http://www.partnersinrhyme.com/midi/index.html
My only dislike is the carry case issue,,, Around my neck? UMmmm NO, and the
ones that clip on belt I havent had a chance to try yet,,,

Re: Nokia 3650
Thanks for the feedback, folks.
Keep em coming. I have today found that there is a later release of the
software (v3.16) Whether this clears my "talking" (as opposed to shouting!)
handset I am yet to find out!!
Currently running v2.50
Appreciate any more feedback.
Thanks

Re: Nokia 3650
Ring volume didn't change when my 3650 was upgraded from 2.54 to 3.16, but
bluetooth seems to be more stable and the earpiece volume on the HBH-35 is
more than adequate. Probably not what you were hoping for.

Re: Nokia 3650
you have a bad 3650, reception is the best part of the 3650. It works where
no other phone has worked before, not only that, but places where other
phones (t68i mainly) couldnt even make calls, the 3650 has full signal.
