    The screensaver is a battery saving feature that is impossable to turn off,
    colour screens use loads of battery power so nokia have made the non colour
    screensaver a default non turn off feature thus saving your battery power
    and making it last longer .

    It's not that the screensaver is non-colour so it uses less battery, it is
    that most of the pixels are turned off.

    Well when i rang nokia to ask about changing the screensaver.. thats what
    they said... only going on what I'm told by the makers of the phone..hehe

    As far as I'm aware, the 'black' pixels are those that are switched off, and
    the 'white' pixels are those that are on, with reference to the screen saver
    mode.

    no but you can set it to come one after 60 minutes instead of 2 or 5...
    press "menu" "644" select other and set it to the maximum 60 minutes.

    A pixel is colourless (ie blank) untill its turned on.
