As a comparative newcomer to swapping SIM cards and unlocking phones, I
would like to ask for some advice from those who obviously know rather
more than I do. I currently own an unlocked 7110 with a Vodaphone Pay as
you go SIM. I intend to pass this on to an elderly relative who requires
a standby phone. I am considering buying a 3501i from Comet for £79.90,
it is complete with a Virgin Pay as you go SIM and £5 of free calls.
I would like to unlock the 3510i and swap the SIMs over so that
I would still be able to use the new phone with my current number and
remaining Vodaphone talk time. I intend to use the facility at the
    Unlockme URL.
Any problems likely with this approach? All helpful comments
    appreciated.

    Thanks,

    CC

Nope, can't see any problems with that whatsoever, however, you may have
problems generating the unlock codes with some of the online calculators,
but once unlocked, you can swap the SIMS exactly as you wish.

Err... Yes, I think we heard you the other couple of hundred times you
posted. But....... people should be aware that you will be required to
become a member, stay so for at least 5 days, and make a minimum of 30
    posts.
