I had my 6590i flashed to newer firmware (V40.55) and when I received it
back, the cellular carrier name was not displayed.
I looked through the menus and found a setting "Cell Info Display" under
the "Phone Settings" which restored it. (This menu item is listed in the
manual but not documented).
I was going through the menus recently and discovered, to my surprise,
that "Cell Info Display" is no longer present in the "Phone Settings"
menu! I can't even get to it using direct numeric menu entry keys.
Doesn't matter much, as I wans't intending to turn the display _off_ again,
but I wondered where the menu went? Sound like a bug?

Wow, you've seen a menu item "go away". My 6340i came with menu items in
the owner's manual, that the phone doesn't have (leaving "gaps"). Useful
stuff like "Scan for networks".
